Vision Statement

Nazko Economic Development Corporation, working for the Nazko First Nation through Chief and Council, facilitates the creation of wealth for the Nation by preparing and implementing the economic development strategy with the primary focus of identifying, developing and managing viable businesses consistent with Nazko First Nation values.
Nazko Logging Limited Partnership

Nazko Logging Limited Partnership is a company under the Nazko Economic Development Corporation. The logging company was originally established by Nazko First Nation in the early 1980s.  Initially, Nazko Logging started with one piece of equipment and one operator who operated as a subcontractor for the Band. Since then, the Company has grown substantially now holding its own forest license and working under contract with all the major forest licensees in the Quesnel area.
Blackwater Camp and Services

Blackwater Camp Services Ltd. is currently operating its own Camp at 3903km on the Baezaeko FSR and catering to another Camp at Nazko. We have a safety program for our Camp and Kitchen staff and we have stringent procedures in place for safe food preparation and storage and camp cleanliness. Our cooks and assistant cooks have food safe certification and uphold all health regulations at the site. All staff in the Camp have the required safety training and are prepared to respond in any emergency situations. We pride ourselves in professional service, clean, modern rooms and happy clients.

Besikoh Fuel LP is the first link in Nazko’s Fleet Fuels commercial Cardlock system and is a complete state-of-the-art facility. We provide owners and drivers with a full range of services in a clean and comfortable atmosphere on a modern paved lot.
Three Nations General Store And Lodge

In 2015, Nazko Economic Development Corporation purchased the Nazko Trading Centre, and renamed the business “Three Nations Store and Lodge”.
Over the next few years, taking a cue from Barkerville Historic town and Park, Nazko Economic Development Corporation (NEDC) intends to build the Store and Lodge property into a Core Tourism Destination of the area.
Currently the Store is the only facility within 55 km for visitors to purchase items. There is a gas station and restaurant and rustic accommodations for the weary traveler.
Three Nations Store and Lodge provides needs for the Modern Explorer!

Nazbec

Nazko First Nation, through its development organization, Nazko Economic Development Corporation (NEDC) has formed a newly incorporated organization NAZBEC Wood Process Ltd. (NAZBEC), a joint venture with Pacific Bioenergy Corporation. The NAZBEC venture plans to manage and harvest a 100,000 m3/year Forest License in the Quesnel region over the coming 10 + years. NAZBEC will utilize the expertise of the well-established logging venture, Nazko Logging LP and provide stable employment opportunities for the Nazko First Nation.
Pacific BioEnergy owns a forest license in the Quesnel TSA which provides for annual harvest rights of 700,000 m³ for 15 years. This license is one of the largest forest licenses ever issued in the province of BC and covers an area of over 1 million hectares, ranging from the city of Quesnel to the boundary of Tweedsmuir Park. Additionally, it lies at the heart of BC’s Mountain Pine Beetle (MPB) infestation, enabling us to harvest MPB killed wood for use as feedstock. This effectively reduces CO2 emissions, as dead trees emit (rather than absorb) carbon, and accelerates the regeneration of BC’s forests. Harvest rights under this license provide support for our existing operations in Prince George, as well as the opportunity to develop an additional world-scale biomass processing facility.
